My wife and I will be staying at Siesta Key that week and looking for either dive buddy to go out with or recommendations for charters. She is new OW diver. I am in dive con program.

Try these guys: Vacations I've been out on their 3-tank outing from the Cortez Scuba Shack and it was good fun. The Shack is on the mainland side of the bridge at Cortez Ave where it goes over to Longboat Key.
Your other choice for boat diving around S.K. is shark tooth dive venice florida
Or you can do shore dives at Venice Beach and look for Megladon and sharks teeth. There are detailed instructions on this forum.
My son and I will be in Key Largo and Key West the time you mention and then Siesta Key the first week of July. Let us know how it goes for you.
