The Dive shop near by is running a special right now and they are selling 3mm wetsuits for USD$75. Sounds like a good deal to me, but I'm wondering how much I would really use it. I'm in Australia right now, so I know I could use it here... and then I would only need to rent tanks and weights. However, I'm going back to the states in December (NC), where I don't think it'd be so useful to use on the wrecks on the outerbanks that I plan to dive. Could you use a 3mm in NC at all? What do y'all think?

Probably in the later summer months with a hood. You could always add a cheap shorty over it. Good price.
