So I went to a "restaurant" in SD a couple nights ago and amid other atrocities such as chicken feet, there was shark fin soup...
For some reason, I thought that had become quite unpopular in the US but I guess I was wrong!
:yuck:

ewwww.........

I now get up and leave a restaurant that serves Shark Fin Soup.....just out of principle (if I am with others I express my view and allow them to make the decision to go or stay.

Was it horn shark fin soup, Missy? Seriously, I would have left after expressing my feelings (in a polite way). I'm finally going to hold the "Sharkwater" viewing party here in my home after planning to do so for 5 months.

Wow, I didn't know anywhere in the US actually served shark fin soup. I would have made my views on that very clear (to the manager, to my friends, to anyone within earshot) and refused to eat there. I would also take it upon myself to let others know not to eat there for that specific reason.

I agree about the shark's fin soup.

However, don't be dissing my beloved chicken's feet. They're delicious.

Well I didn't notice the soup selections until I was about to leave, otherwise I would not have eaten there. There was also sea hare stew~ I didn't even know people ate that... double bleh!
It was an chinese place off miramar way ... I won't mention the name but they claim their place is a "super buffet" (hint hint).
I was disgusted.

Sea hare stew? Holy wetsuits, Dr. Bill... I've never even heard of anyone serving that! Did they have sea cucumbers... I've run out of Viagra!
