My suit arrived today as well, with 13,000 yen import duties to Japan.

Size is good, but I'm missing the male connector on the crotch strap (which means I will need to find a way to stitch the strap shut once I actually get one), and the order is also missing the extra neck and wrist seals i had ordered and Ziptech lubricant for the plastic zip... Guess they were in a bit of a hurry.

Otherwise it looks good to go - the silicone neck seals will probably need to be trimmed though, which is something I've never done... it's a Quick Neck system with Silflex seal
Does anyone know if talc should be used on silicone seals btw?
One of my hard and fast rules is to never trim a silicone neck seal, established right after breaking a trimmed seal moments before a dive, at least wait for the spares to come. I also now use the waterproof neoprene neck seal which is a big improvement. No need to stitch anything on the crotch strap

And you can dive the suit while waiting for the part, I’m surprised how often I forget to snap mine together.

I don't know ifthings have changed, but I have received wax stick with my plastic zip. Wax is their standard item, regardless of what zip you have.
As for seals, take sharp scisors and cut just above one of those rings you can see on your seal. Make sure not to create any sharp points.
Yes, talc helps slide your head and hands through.

Can someone who lives in the UK please order a colour swatch sample and post a picture here to see how the new fabric colours look in real life?

They dont charge anything for it (Maybe shipping only)

I received actual zipper lube with my plastic zipper, and a wax stick with my other suit with a brass zipper.

For trimming seals, I put something like a scuba cylinder (probably an AL40) or a 2L soda bottle through the seal and then I use a brand new razor blade to make the cut. I try to do the whole cut all in one pass.

If you use a 2L soda bottle, just make sure not to press with the corner of the razor blade hard enough to puncture the soda bottle. Especially if it still has soda inside... It will make a mess.... :(

Agreed. Assuming you're diving a BPW with a crotch strap, its more about neatly tucking the telescopic torso, the crotch strap on the BPW does the same thing the suit strap does as far as holding it all together while diving.

A swivel stool makes this so much easier.

A stationary stool works too, so you can walk around it.

Thanks everyone - the suit was sent without any zipper lubricant (no wax or ziptech / dedicated plastic zip lubricant), and was also missing the extra seals and clip, so I shot them an email yesterday and will hopefully get an answer soon.
Thanks for the tip for trimming the neck seal - I'm a little terrified at the prospect as I'm not really handy with these kind of things, but I'll just have to bite the bullet...
