It's been 10 days now, and I was hoping to get a timeline / estimation of how long it would take.
I know they're quite busy and not really responsive by email, but how long did it take to get some follow up for recent orders?
I've read some posts of people mentioning that they'd been contacted by their sales rep. a week after ordering, and would like to make sure everything is in order.
Calling the UK isn't the simplest as I'm in Japan now and don't have a landline.
Thanks a bunch!
Thanks - I hope so. I'm trying to reason myself, but it's been 10 days now, so can't help being a little worried.Don't worry, you'll get your confirmation soon.
Thanks - I didn't think to check if they had WhatsApp, nice one! I've been checking the spam, but nothing fron sealskin since the auto confirmation email.Use WhatsApp on your phone to call them. It’s subtleAs a follow-up, the sales order arrived today after posting this, it took 10 days, but it's all good.
I have one question - I seem to remember a way to simulate the stiching colors on the suit, but can't seem to find this. I'm curious as to colored stitching would look like on a black suit, has anyone got an example somewhere?
thanks!
Just to follow up to this order, I received my shipping date today (23 Jan, ordered 15 Jan UK time) which is tentatively 28 Mar. Looks like ~10.5 weeks from order to ship right now. Will update when suit in hand as well. Thanks for all the reviews and info on here. I just placed an order for my first drysuit with the intention to mainly use it in San Diego / Catalina. I ordered the 150 Thinsulate suit and some sweat wicking shirt/shorts which should hopefully be right for 55-75 degree water year round down here? I'll dive a 3mm wetsuit for vacation diving with the wife, and dont plan on anything colder than SoCal water for now.
I went full black (I did contemplate messing with green as well, but without real life pics, I didn't want to take the risk on the color being wierd).
Options:
Telescopic torso
Dry zip cover
YKK Plastic zipper
Trigon Pee valve
Quick Neck (siflex) - will swap out for neoprene at some point, but maybe dont need to at 55 degree water?
Avoided the warm neck due to intended swap above and easier fixing... should I have it added?
Siflex seals
Kubi cufffs and neoprene covers (90mm)
Move dump DIR
SITech valves
Inflation comfort patch
Neoprene socks
Knee (no logo), back and shoulder protection
40mm braces
Name badge, changing bag, bag badge
No logos/reflective tape
2x expedition pockets on outside seams
Total with undergarmets was ~1350GBP or about $1650 shipped @ 1.22 GBPUSD. I still need to pickup the glove side, neoprene neck and hood as well as some rock boots, so maybe another $350 or so, for about 2k all in (plus whatever import duties are in 3 months...).
I'm hoping to new year's resolution my way down 10-15lb by the time this thing arrives, hopefully the suit won't be too big if I manage to avoid beer for 3 months![]()
My experience is that I got the confirmation with an estimated shipping date. Seaskin beat the shipping date by more than two weeks. It arrived much sooner than they originally expected to ship it. No complaints about that and it's been working well ever since. Any problems I have had were user error. As a follow-up, the sales order arrived today after posting this, it took 10 days, but it's all good.
