It appears to be the material that was cut out for the dump valve. I guess they include for a patch. No idea on the material, but the tool should have been included if you ordered the quick neck.

Or a sloppy toss to the scrap bin...It appears to be the material that was cut out for the dump valve. I guess they include for a patch.
Mine always have been, sometimes the small tool and other times the bigger tool that also works on the sitech valves.

I had the exact same circle of trialam material which is the exact size of a dump valve. I also figured it was to be used as a patch but I know nothing about drysuit repair. It appears to be the material that was cut out for the dump valve. I guess they include for a patch.
Looking good! It looks like I made similar selections except I went with grey thread. I too wish the inner pockets had some drainage. My 4E tech shorts don't have any drain holes either and they always have a good bit of water in them when climbing out of the sea. The little pockets are great but prefer the 4E zippers in that both sides open when sliding the zipper to the rear and close to the front. Overall, I am very happy with the suit as those two "problems" are real knit picky. Here is how biggest pockets look when empty. It seems they offer best hydrodynamics.
One thing I do not like is how inner compartment has no drain holes. OTH, I like small zip pocket on each flap.

Seal above it or at the thinnest part of your neck imo. I didn't trim mine at all. I wore it on the first day and it was quite uncomfortable, almost too tight. After a few cycles of don/doff and wearing it for an hour+ during dives it has relaxed. I went through the same process when I replaced the seal after tearing the original.Would ya’ll mind touching on trimming the neck seal? Where’s the balance between comfort and proper sealing? How do you test the seal at home? Bath tub? Is the seal over or under the Adam’s apple?
My personal rule of thumb for silicone is never trim them, never.Would ya’ll mind touching on trimming the neck seal? Where’s the balance between comfort and proper sealing? How do you test the seal at home? Bath tub? Is the seal over or under the Adam’s apple?
