My order was shipped.. lol, is in Kentucky of all places? at customs.... I don't see it coming today. It flew right over me last night... just overshot by ~ 550 miles!!

It has already done more sight seeing than I have this year

Travel by auto or plane? If you want to fly with it, I think trilam is the clear way to go.

You also need to know what the coldest water you want to be able to handle is.

If my coldest water were going to be low to mid-50s, I would go with a neoprene suit, neoprene seals, and plan to use wet gloves.

For colder, I would want a trilam, with dry glove rings installed, silicone wrist seals, and still a removeable/replaceable neoprene neck seal.

But that is me and reflects my personal tolerance for cold water.

I travel by plane. I think the crushed neoprene might be best for me overall. I will be diving the first day and have a couple days after for work. I could also use for dives local that are low 60’s to mid 70’s and no longer need a 5 or 7mm.
Only downside is needing another person to zip.

Sooooo, went from just waiting on valves to come in, to now, just waiting on rock boots to come in... Sometime next week... Can't wait to see what I'm waiting on next... Pee valve maybe, or perhaps it will be the gloves...grumble grumble....I feel like they should of known there were no rock boots... But then I also feel like they should of ordered those earlier in the month truth be told and they should of been there by now... Part of me wonders if it's just being held for kicks and giggles at this point

Believe me, I know how you feel. But having my own issues with supply chain, I don't think it's all their fault.
Right now, I am 3 weeks overdue on a part that was ordered 3 months ago, which I need to complete order for my client. I have ordered it in advance (too expensive and rarely ordered to keep in stock) and I built some buffer in my own timeline, yet I busted it anyway.

Face opening is indeed small. Few of us here are guessing it is done on purpose by Seaskin. You can always open it more if you need it. If I used my hood as it came from Seaskin, my mask would sit on my nose fighting with my reg for that same space.

I ended up trimming the face opening of the seaskin hood using my mask as a rough template and it fits a lot better now. Comparing it to my Apeks and Waterproof hood, the seaskin neoprene is thicker and less flexible, so I suspect it will be warmer at depth. Unlike the other hoods, the face seal is the same thickness as the rest of the hood.

It's quite unbelievable how much warmer I feel just because of smaller face area exposed to cold water.
I might order a custom hood, with cutouts just for mask and reg, sort of ski mask hood

I have a crushed neoprene drysuit (DUI CF200). It's a really tough suit, but terrible for travel, as it takes days to dry and is therefore heavy.

For whatever reason.. still in Kentucky. I'm not surprised or upset. It's a holiday weekend after all. I'm sure the system is overloaded. Black Friday doesn't help.

As long as it's here by next Wed so I can try it out!!
