I'm not an expert in this stuff, but that's one of two reasons why I don't like the prospect of integrated boots. Neoprene socks are much more flexible, whether wearing one or three sets of wool socks. Secondly, all the rubber boots seem to have weak points where they connect to the underlying neoprene (particularly the top-facing L of the foot). Enough repeated stretch and wear and you'll have to really finagle a fix or replace the entire boot. Neoprene socks are dead simple to fix, and you can just wear regular wet boots over em. Loads of flexibility.
Not to mention less need for gaiters.
Once the need to replace my boots arises, I think I'm gonna go with socks. In addition to the above, the boots are also a bit of a pain to dry from the inside...

Get a HangAir Hanger. I initially thought it was a little gimmicky, but it works great. HangAir Hanger

Mine were tight with wool socks, but not with actual drysuit booties. I have the Fourth Element booties. Both kinds. It may have been the way the sock was binding in the boot. There are also some thin rubber insoles in the boots. Mine came out, but if yours are still there, you could remove them for a few cm more space.
Do you mean something like Hotfoot Pro Drysuit Socks - Fourth Element or Arctic Socks - Fourth Element Aren't they even thicker than wool socks?

I'll take a look at the insoles when I get the suit out tomorrow. Thanks for the tip!

Have it. :) Still takes a long time, IMHO. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, or maybe it's because I'm 6'3? My current approach is to turn the suit inside out, rolling the pants up to where the boots start, hang the suit on the HangAir, and place a USB fan under it so it blows into the boots. Seems to dry a little faster.

I have one of these, to hang the suit up by the boots:

Seems to work pretty well.

I have this homemade idea.

I use 1/2lb of

inside a woman's stocking per boot.

I use those beads in an inline dryer for my booster. Recharge them in a toaster oven.
FYI, stepping on one of those beads that drops on the kitchen floor is nearly as bad as stepping on a lego. You wouldn't think a small round bead would hurt so much. Don't spill any.
