For people with Rolock 90 system on Seaskin, how do you take suit ring off?
QCS was fine to remove, but Rolock was hard to put and now I can't take it off?
I see that Sitech recommends to try 2nd and 3rd groove for QCS depepnding on suit, should I try the same with Rolock? Should I grease it PU rings before pushing Rolock rings in?

You can push the ring out, if your fingers are strong you can also use a blunt tool at the groove to pry it to submission just be careful of the seal. RoLock suggests the 3rd groove. They have several videos on their site for these sort of questions. I just wet the seal before popping them into the PU rings.

This is my first plastic zip. Suit came with block of wax, which is strange since it's not metal zip.
So, I understand I need to lubricate only the docking area of the zip and just keep rest of the zip clean of any debris or sand.
Question is, what do you use for lubricating the zip?
I think the person packing the suit goodie bags has no idea which zip you have so the wax goes with every suit.

I use silicone grease at the docking end, just a little.

Rolock video shows seal in 2nd groove and graphic shows 3rd. Great job

Is yours a plastic TiZip?

I don’t have a Seaskin but my drysuit came with some tizip lubricant.

Maybe email Seaskin to be sure of the type of lubricant to use?

It probably doesn’t matter, I use the third.

I tried both and both are equally hard to remove. But looking at Rolock video, it seems to me that my PU ring is quite deeper which might explain why it is that hard to remove. On the other hand QCS ring is quite easy to remove.

Seaskin website states that it is YKK.

Since I have two sets of seals, I guess I'll keep one for dry gloves (since it shouldn't matter if a prick it anyway with tool) and the other for QCS. I will have to buy another spare set though.

When you pry the ring off of the suit you can damage the part of the seal that seals the rings them selves rather than the part that seals against your wrist. I haven’t noticed and difference for removal with seal/ring position, I no longer have any of the original oval base rings to test it with since I will never use them again since getting the RoLock.

I just wet the seal when installing in the suit cuff. Third groove (the most sealing surface). I found a boltsnap useful to help pry off. The Ultima folks use the edge of a spool if you need more leverage than the boltsnap provides.
