I had a MK3/ 108 that was given to me. It was so crusty and green that most of the chrome was rotted off. It hadn't been rebuilt in probably 30 years.
I sanded off all the remaining chrome and polished up the brass. I found a new old stock rubber diaphragm cover at my LDS and made use out of the old exhaust T with the help of some glue, a few O-rings from the local supplier and I had a perfectly working reg. I don't think I had but $25 total in it getting it up and running.
