Any advice re which to go for? The wife travels a lot so size, weight and comfort is important but also want a set up that is reliable and is to be mostly used doing warm water dives.

Note: I do not dive with a Micron, only the MK25/S600, but my LDS sells both brands of regulators, so I am somewhat familiar with the Micron.

The Micron is definitely smaller & lighter & also seems to be better for divers with small mouths. Most whom I know use it, likes it for that purpose. The MK25/S600 is also an excellent regulator & really doesn't weigh all that much, though probably a little more than the Micron. Either would probably work in her case.

my wife was also worried about the size of her reg. she tried an
s600 mk17, and then went with a Mares Proton metal She Dives w/ mr42t and she loves it. its small this one is metal so not as light as an all plastic reg but its not that heavy. the mr42 is a very small and light first stage and both regs are very durable. so travel is less of a worry with them. also service for them around the world is pretty good.
