Well, as a DM, I don't make jokes or say anything about someone's gear. It leaves you open to the same from other DM's. I use the the Scubapro Go fins. Love them!!! I have other fins but have found that I never need them. They work well in current and in surge conditions. If the current is strong, really doesn't matter the fin length, you're goin' for a ride! Use what you are comfortable with.
I don't want to portray the DM unfairly. He is half my size, so he thought his using fins twice the size of mine was funny. He didn't make any judgement or comment about the effectiveness of the fins, just that we looked silly next to each other.

It was a different DM who said she used to have the same fins as me and I really liked them but had to switch to deal with the current when she got to Puerto Galera. That was after it was obvious to both of us that I was struggling to keep up with her.

If you love the "ScubaPro Go" fins, please specify if you mean the "Go Sport Gorilla", "Go Sport" or "Go Travel" as these are all different.

Now that you have the supers nova’s you can buy/borrow some S Tek blades. If you weren’t half way around the world I would loan you some.
I do like the idea of being able to swap out the blades for the S-Tek if/when I use a drysuit or push doubles. Not sure I'll ever do that, mind :D but it's nice to have the option

I think you may find the S blades would feel more like the Go/GoSport in use and negate the feel you describe, that said the super are in my opinion the better all around fin.

Go Sport.

The Go Sport Gorilla are my 'go to ' fins for most dives now. And the orange fins are mine on the local boats, never seen another pair.
