I am between a M/L based on ScubaPro's website, which is why I went to a local store to try these on, and why I was surprised they told me I needed an XL.
Scubapro’s sizing is notoriously whack: it’s all over the place. You have to try things on, and half the time the dimensions (e.g. wetsuits) will be configured for orangutans

Yes, their wetsuit sizing is ridiculous. It was based on slim French guys who wear bikinis and still look good in them.

My semidry is by Apeks, my 5mm is Henderson, my 3mm is Hevto and 1.5mm is Xuker. Except for the semidry, all from Amazon where I got them at a fairly good price! My fins I bought from scuba.com. I have used split fins and, while they were comfortable, I like the solid, one piece fins.

I don't know if they were French models , if they were, they have pencil neck shoulders, skinny arms and legs with little muscle on them.

The tummy area is the only place I don't have to have adjusted by a wetsuit maker [ a trim 30"] ,also, I don't look good in bugie smugglers [head like a robbers dog, broken nose, cauliflower ears and tattoos] but still retain some 'beef' on me [for an old man].

I also have a fly put in the 5mm when fixing the rest, been know [and seen] using this, when you have to go, you go.:acclaim:

OK, back to talking about fins.

If ScubaPro says someone wearing a size 10 Scubapro brand boot should use a L size foot pocket in a Scubapro brand fin, I am tempted to trust that recommendation. There is really no way they should get that wrong unless someone is between sizes or they just didn't double check their website.

For wetsuits, sizing is more complicated. Frenchman wearing bikinis and fat Americans should wear the same sized fins if they wear the same boots.
