I am nearing my 100th dive, at least 80 in my scubapro go travel fins. I've never owned other fins and my experiences with other fins were long ago.

2 dive masters recently made fun of me for using these. One said they weren't even half the size of his. Another said she used to own a pair, switched to jet fins and they are much stronger and switching would improve my bottom time. My sac has always been bad, but is far worse the less finning on the dive. Current is generally not an issue for me. However the cost to try something new is relatively small and improvement would be welcome.

If you enjoy diving with bricks on your feet, then go ahead and spend the money on jet fins. I don't know how that will improve your SAC rate, but you'll certainly build muscle lugging them around to dive sites.

I use GoSports when I dive warm water, and I think they're great. They are light and they are short, making them easy to pack and travel with. The foot pocket is very comfortable. They provide enough propulsion for me, but I don't usually dive in strong currents. And if I am, it's drift diving so I don't really care.

Get whatever fins you want, but my $0.02 is to ignore the two divemasters, keep the GoSports, and use the money you would spend on a different pair of fins on more diving.

Pretty much BS piled high and deep.

I would consider the Go Sport or the Go Sport Gorilla (a little stiffer than the regular GoSport). You will have to wear neoprene boots with either one of these.

I still wouldn’t bother with jet fins for anything except drysuit diving.

I tend to agree with you there, especially for somebody who will be doing mostly frogkicking. I don't see the point for a recreational diver as in the OP's case.

So there size matters people are ill informed, it’s not the size of the fin but how you use them.

I am not mostly frog kicking, I mostly flutter kick.

Go Sport, Go Sport Gorrila, or SuperNova. SuperNova is the most awesome fin for Flutter Kick, bar none.
