oh, we'll never hear the end of it now...

"you guys are wearing WETSUITS in 72-degree wate? why... i only usied
7 mil in 44 degree water, and i did just fine!"

as for me, a special place of mocking is reserved:

"you're wearing a DRYSUIT in 72-degree water? why... i used to dive where
polar bears did not thread, and i did it in a wetsuit..."

and so on...

thanks guys... really...

Shhh! Andy!

She was probably wearing a 7mm farmer jane with a top
(so that is a tad bit more than 7mm.)

So maybe that was the reason for the 27# of weight? To sink the evidence that she actually dove "cold" water?

Of course, it's still not the 38 degrees I used to dive in Nanaimo :D (mm... in a wetsuit!)

Ask Jenny how she managed to get the anchor line wrapped up in the propeller on the charter boat :D

Jenny, come home to your beloved warm water diving soon- don't let them lure you!

I can hear her now! :pity_part "Gin water wussies. What d'ya mean no viz. Gee wiz!" :soapbox:

I hope I am still worthy :D

Fight it Jenny. Remember the mantra:

Cold Bad
Warm Good

MB:
Cold Bad
Warm Good

well, i believe the authorities are split on this one.

on the "warm good" front are baths, meals, showers, and greetings

however

research indicates that "cold bad" does not apply to beer

so... i believe we may have a problem here

Lil' Irish Temper:
She is alive and well !

Name some things that don't go together:

Oil & Water ~ Gasoline & Fire ~ Jenny & 7mm Wetsuit

Jenny's Quote of the day "Guys, I can't move in this"

Jenny made 2 dives into the depths of Lake Erie showing no fear what so ever, and throwing her carefree clear water diving days into the wind.

She endured 44 degree water temps at 107 feet for 21 minutes, visited her first freighter shipwreck, and paid her respects to the crew of 18 that perished in a Great Lakes storm in 1893.

Not feeling complete, she went on to dive her second Great Lakes wreck that sank in 1912, at a depth of 60 feet and 53 degrees, and truly earned her Great Lakes Gorilla title by diving in viz less then 10 feet.

On this dive she utilized her underwater scooter to conserve air, not having to fin at all until her scooter started to putter out.

So hats off to the newest Conch Diver/Great Lakes Gorilla, and no you don't get a c-card for it, but here's your Great Lakes Trophy
It's all we could afford :D

Congrats Jenny... I'm sure it was an experience you won't soon forget!

What wrecks did you do?

bob

...oh... and don't listen to MB... we got him to come up to cold fresh waters a few years ago and I'm sure he's yearning to make another trip!!

Oh sure. After two summers diving up there, my parts STILL haven't descended to their normal resting places. AND, that 2 feet thick neoprene does get hard to move around in. Thank heavens you and Bob3 were there to carry me to the side of the boat and toss me in!
