Not so fast. I haven't booked a room yet. I am trying to decide if I want to try and get a decent rate at Ocean Pointe or stay somewhere nearby. As for the dives...I want to do the Duane, that's the only one I MUST do...other than that, I'll just try to get onto boats that aren't booked up.

If you can hook up with some other SB members at Ocean Pointe and split room costs, that would be the way to go.

We are staying at Sunset Inn (read cheap). We would have rather have been at Ocean Pointe, but Ocean Pointe is not inexpensive for a three member family (relatively speaking) at around $170+ a night with taxes. Sunset Inn ran us $65~$75 a night for a room with a kitchen, but it's NO WHERE near as nice as Ocean Pointe which is where we stayed last year.

Also, if there are any SB'ers who would like to split the cost of a room they already have reserved, pm me. I'm not picky, I'll sleep on a couch. Just need somewhere to crash between dives.
