A Scubaboard diver was brutally attacked by a mad Gray Triggerfish in Key Largo over Labor Day weekend. ****** said, "It was horrible, the fish came out of nowhere and tried to kill me. If I hadn't had my camera to fend it off, I may not have made it."

"*****", is that a European name? How vogue.:D

Yes the blazing speed of these animals is amazing, not to mention their razor sharp teeth and aggressive attitudes.

I sure hope this attack doesn't shake ******'s confidence in future dives.

Good Diving,

I was off of Australia a couple of years ago in November and December. Apparently, it was mating seasons for a type of trigger fish. Several of us on the boat were actively attacked by these trigger fish. One diver had a severe cut on the side of his face that was so deep he could not dive for a couple of days. I forgot the name of the species of trigger fish, but they were aggresive as could be. Some divers got holes dug into their fins. Never saw anything like it...

Actually, I was trying to take a picture of this Triggerfish and every time I was about to take a pic, it would charge me. I laughed so hard my mask was leaking like crazy. To see my other pics of the weekend, go here:

Wow I didn't know that this Triggerfish would actually charge at one while diving...:11:

Good thing I know now....:rofl3:
