Venice Beach is 160 mi. across state from where you are staying

Blue Heron Bridge is still 50 mi. south from where you are staying

Letterboy, if you're hinting you need lodging or lifts to the nearest dive event around you, be assured we've got you covered, and would be happy to meet you and possibly dive with you as well!! BHB has some great sightings....though, you can still collect some nifty shark teeth from the other coast as well!!!

I have family in from SoCal for the week. I can talk them into driving to BHB, but not to Venice. I'm glad to have a local event.

Good info, Joyce... except for the people PMing you about the oil fund.

Also, this event isn't meant to take the place of the Venice event. It's just an alternative for those who can't or don't want to attend the Venice event. I just thought it would be nice for everyone to have a chance to get together somewhere, if they couldn't go to Venice
