I actually used one of the Cozy Winters motorcycle vests for a while. They have FAR less power, even set on high, than the Santi vest does (but of course, you don't have to have a canister to get decent run time out of them, either). In addition, I don't think the controlling electronics are robust under pressure. Both of ours failed, as did the replacement ones we got under warranty.

BTW, just to update this . . . my poor heated vest has been plagued with problems, none of which are actually the fault of the vest. I had a leak through my repurposed canister that fried my original battery, and I haven't figured that leak out yet (it may be microcracking in the lid). In addition, I have lost electrical continuity through the E/O port on the suit, and I have to take that apart and see if I can even GET into the guts of it to troubleshoot it. And we're now in sub-50 degree water season, so I want the thing back!

Yeah, as Wayne says, I put the second canister against the backplate. To my delight, I estimated the necessary cord length PERFECTLY, and it interferes with nothing.

I honestly can't think of a single bad thing to say about this, except it cost a lot of money and I need a bigger battery. (The one I use for my scooter would be perfect, if I had a canister to fit :) )

What length cord did you estimate? Cheers

Is this both wetsuit and drysuit heated vest? The price and the warranty and the latest tested technology are making this next on my purchase list.
