I actually used one of the Cozy Winters motorcycle vests for a while. They have FAR less power, even set on high, than the Santi vest does (but of course, you don't have to have a canister to get decent run time out of them, either). In addition, I don't think the controlling electronics are robust under pressure. Both of ours failed, as did the replacement ones we got under warranty.
BTW, just to update this . . . my poor heated vest has been plagued with problems, none of which are actually the fault of the vest. I had a leak through my repurposed canister that fried my original battery, and I haven't figured that leak out yet (it may be microcracking in the lid). In addition, I have lost electrical continuity through the E/O port on the suit, and I have to take that apart and see if I can even GET into the guts of it to troubleshoot it. And we're now in sub-50 degree water season, so I want the thing back!
