I would never have expected the pedestrian to have survived that, even if the cars were slowing down due to the crash/impact. To roll over several times with a passenger on the hood i would think would most certainly kill you.

I see people running reds all the time, not even counting those who were a bit unsure of a yellow and it turned red just as they were at the line at full speed, but those who cross the line at full speed 1,2,3...... up to 10 seconds after the light has changed - those are the scary ones seeing as most lights have about a 3-4 second yellow time.

And it's OK, because the person they are talking to on their cell phone is W-A-Y more important than driving safely. I hope the PT Cruiser guy gets at least wreckless endangerment or attempted homicide.

I can't open it... evidently my connection is too slow. Probably just as well.
IF you do actually want to see it - right mouse click on the link and save it to your hard disk - then you can open Windows Media Player and open it.

I agree with the other posts - that wasn't dangerous driving - that was homicidal driving.

weirder things have happened. My old man was in a foxhole with a bud in WW2 and they took a direct artillery hit. He was blown like 100 yards away and lost hearing for a couple days....all they found of his buddy was his left foot still in the boot...nothing else.

He is 86 today....and yep...cant hear for s***!!

know what bothers me with this aside from the knucklehead running the light - The pedestrian was still far enough in the road to have been hit by the flying car after the light had changed. Had he not been crossing when the light was yellow or had picked up the pace some and trotted across the road he'd have been in the clear.

holy frijoles...

that dude is one lukcy SOB

Have a lot of that too, particularly downtown, people just start crossing as your light turns green. Moving up slowly and just getting close enough to touch them usually makes them speed up their walking ;)

Try going from the any hotel to I-15 VIA the strip on friday or saturday night. IDIOTS. People get here and go stupid. There are bars between the north and south lanes, we have bridges for people to use. Do they use them? Nope. We would rather try and cross in the middle of the block and get mowed down than try and walk that extra half block to the bridge. The walk and dont walk lights? Useless cause when people come thru the airport, security must remove anything that allows people to see color on crossing/stop lights. Just thought I would rant. Thanks for listening. :D

I call drunkeness and the gambling high, or of course if they have lost heavily, i dont think they would care if a truck/car ran them over - end the misery sooner ;)
