Here in Santa Cruz this morning it is cool with a annoying drizzle...the wind is calm but picked up yesterday by 10am...I'm staying home but hubby is going on afternoon Escapade dive...a friend who works the dive boats called last night and said a boat that went to dive outside the bay yesterday turned back and the Escapade dove on flat seas inside the bay..he said that once your dropped below 20' the vis opened up to around 20'..

Dove off the Escapade today. Seas were calm, even glassy and got out to Carmel. First dive at Butterfly House, about 20' of viz but very calm, 100' max, 50 minutes. Second dive was at Lonely Cypress, 50' max.

Ft. Ross was flat today, with very little wind or current. Viz was limited to 5' - 10' or so. Still, we had abalone for dinner.
