For everybody that hates the DUI Rock Boots laces...I found a possible solution. It is a product called yankz sure lace system. They look like bungee laces with a lockable clip. For more info go to www.yankz.com
I don't work for this company. Just found this online after struggling with my rock boot laces.

Here's another solution. Ask your dive shop to replace the feet of your drysuit with turbosoles. I just had mine replaced b/c I got sick of the laces coming untied or the boot coming loose. Very happy I did it, worth the money

I would love to but this is temporary until next dive season.

Here's another solution. Drop that turbo sole and rockboot stuff and get some DV boots.

Yep, just sent my suit to OSS today. The DV boots also fit into my fins better (i.e., smaller) than the Rock boots, and I expect them to be a bit warmer, and to last longer than those latex socks. That said, the OSS DV boots are not exactly "heavy duty." I guess my RockBoots are up for grabs. The first rental drysuit I ever used was a DUI, but it had similar boots to the OSS DV boots -- a bit stiffer, if I recall.

How about ya just trim the laces like the dui page suggests?

Customizing the size of the laces usually prevents the above mentioned issues except for fin size of course, assuming you have the correct size rock boot for your needs.

Or wrap the laces around the top of the boot and secure them with the velco tab. It's a lot cheaper than new boots :)

I personally haben't had much luck with that. I liked my rock boots ok until I got the turbosoles. What a difference.

I can't tell. Are the DV boots a hard molded shoe? I've seen something like that on a DUI dry suit. The entire boot from underfoot to mid-calf is a stiff molded piece or rubberey-plastic. My dive buddy uses them. They didn't look particularly comfortable and looked maybe even a little floaty. Are the DV boots similar?

DV's look and feel something like a fisherman's boot, cut down and prepped to fit a drysuit. Hard, long lasting sole. Warm, comfortable. No booties to lose, no sock to wear out or tear, no turbo sole to leak. Normally lasts the life of the suit. The DiveRite 905 boots look very similar. Not floaty at all.
