Happy to see you back to diving. Hope the surgery goes good. I had one for a deviated septum and it was one of the best moves I have made in my life. Diving was just part of it. It made a tremendous difference. I got reverse blockage ascending from a deep dive. It was terrible. Everyone was on the boat waiting for me and I had to crawl up the line and stop every 10 feet or so. They dropped another tank for safety, but fortunately I didn't need it. So definitely helped on the diving side. I also got over a Dristan (not even sure how to spell it anymore!!!) addiction.... (nose spray). That stuff is horrible to be addicted to. Good luck to ya!!!

Welcome back!
I took about a 10yr break from diving & got back into it back in 2009.
You'll find that some gear has improved, and other, not so much.
Take a refresher course, go play in the pool with the gear and go dive!

I’m returning to diving as well. My break was about 12-13 years. I was very nervous being 15 years older than when I started but after doing a refresher course/dive, I realized I remember so much more than I expected to. Good luck.

Welcome back!
You said you were living on the gulf coast. If you are close to Destin, I'd be happy to do a refresher course with you.
Cheers, mate.
