From Catalina Cylinders website, "In CGA pamphlet C-6.1 Standards for Visual Inspection of High Pressure Aluminum Gas Cylinders, it states that cylinders heated to metal temperature in excess of 350*F(176*C) must be condemned"

According to the Code of Federal Regulations(CFR) there is no provision to test or re-certify a cylinder that has been subjected to such temperatures.

Obviously baked on finishes are out of the question.
