Replacing Display Shield on Vyper

Has anyone replaced the plastic display shield on a Vyper? I got a couple of replacement plastic shields with the computers when I bought them a couple of years ago and decided to replace the scratched up shields... I took the wrist bands off, took the rubber housing off and there just isn't much more to take apart... is it simply bending the plastic into place (without even taking anything apart)?
Sorry if this is a dumba$$ question but there isn't anything in the manual and I've did some google searches and even the Suunto site - no luck. If I force it I'll break the plastic or even if I bend the new one won't it discolor the plastic? Any help is greatly appreciated...

yup, you dont have to take it apart, just pop the old one out and pop the new one in, they are quite flexable
