No, unless you want to make it harder to replace and more or less insure you can't change it without having to buy a whole new assembly including the hose. You do not ever need to use adhesive on it.
 
While I have your attention, would you mind telling me if there's anything I need to know about changing a wing opv/dump? I'm replacing a broken one on an oxycheq wing with a dss one. Parts and tools are on their way.

Thanks again to everybody for the advice. I hate having to take my gear into the shop and pay for for minor adjustments that can result in adhesive in my currogated hose, or someone using a screwdriver to pry the rings out of my quick cuffs. It's great to be handling the basics on my own.
 
unscrew and rescrew, pretty simple, not a lot to it. Tool is nice in case the flange unscrews so you can screw it back in before the dump goes on, but other than that it's pretty self explanatory
