Around $40 for the Cleaning Vinegar, Bon Ami & Cerium Oxide. They are useful for cleaning up other household items so I don’t mind spending some money for these stuff.
bargain in the name of science
I'm glad it worked for you!
I don't know much about polishing glass...just my research for the one experiment polishing that windshield scratch
a couple of observations...
In every case I found in my research, teh polishing was done using a polishing wheel (wool or synthetic felt disk) or a rag if by hand, not a brush
so I wonder if you'd have better results with a rag.
and keeping in mind that you want to maintain a flat surface on the glass
If you can remove the glass from the mask, then you could lay it on a flat surface and long board it with a rag, similar to how a body shop does wetsanding for a car's paint....i'm thinking a rag wrapped around a sanding block or a block of wood, using the wet slurry compound. I wonder if that would make for faster and more accurate work
Also I mentioned before that water is your friend
In the photo your paste looked dry to me. I was finding that when it's dry it introduces new scratches.
