Ok, we have mentioned the certification agencies, what about the diveshop where these octos were mounted on her first stage??
In aviation, a mechanic has to sign in the plane's record every procedure he
performs on the machine, there is accountability there.
What about the captain and DM, just by looking at her get up they could have seen something was wrong, where is their professionalism??

Who's to say it was assembled at a dive shop?

tridacna:
Sorry. I was being IPC. Let me rephrase. They were two fat divers. :D

My point is not that they had eaten too much and exercised too little. Or maybe even they had a genetic predisposition to be overweight. Who cares? You're right. I'm right. It was a simple observation. That's all. I have nothing against overweight divers.

In fact, some of my best friends are overweight divers...

If you think that I'm bad, my buddy logged the sighting of a turtle and a whale on the second dive. :rofl3:

Hey, stop, you are killing me here. Did you hear the one about the black guy and the watermelon....

Come on, you included the weight comment to add humor value, right? The weight issue had nothing to do with your post or the issues these people supposedly had; it was just a way to insult them and make the story funnier. Too bad they weren't gay or black or Mexican or had some physical disability or spoke with a foreign accent, that would have been hilarious.

I noticed another of your posts..."Dove with absolute morons...they are completely freaking useless...Waving around like drunken seals...these monkeys are puffing away on cigarettes talking about their incredible dive...I say, give them nitrox next time and let Darwin take care of the details."

Kind of hard on folks, aren't you?

We can't all be Scubaman and Scubawoman. If these people you dove with were as unskilled as you portray, then fine, ridicule their performance or their training, but unless their weight, height, age or race plays a role in the issue the comments just makes you look bigoted. And if their weight is an issue that you want to discuss in public, do it in a more responsible fashion.

Or he can just keep being funny.

Stop being so sensitive.

I totally agree. Well said.

Sorry... but, dayum...

This one was taken after the SG dive on Sunday... RN's do the darnedest things....

(Best Steve Irwin voice): Now we come up against one of the rarest of underwater animals, the hardly seen Ostrich fish. These buggers are known to bury their heads in the sand when they think no camera's are watching. Watch out though, once a month they go through a change and will bite the head off anything in their path! Whoa! Criky! It's only slightly better than the hooked octopus fish, which is known to claw it's way through the sand of the upper keys, and has enough tubes running to make 8 OOA divers happy!

All he said was that they were fat. He never mentioned their race.

You get offended too easily. Stop being so sensitive.

Blackwood:
lol. Rock bottom for ascending 4 divers, three of whom are probably double stressed since they're all hooked to at least one crappy diver by short hoses... Figure she needs an entire Aluminum 80 from 60 feet.
Is PADI still teaching that nonsense about 60 feet per minute and no safety stop?
