The MK25/S600 is a great reg..........my wife dives a MK25/S550, when it is not on my pony....:)

A recent thread seemed to conclude that for the PNW a MK17/S600 combination might be a better choice.......

This was due to the environmentally sealed first stage........the water does not get cold enough to cause a free flow issues with the MK25......

The thread was split on better hose routing for doubles........

That being said it was a very close call........

Hope this helps..........M

We use Poseidon Xtreams and love them!

The Xsteam is also my local cold water regulator.......:)

I bought it after the SP MK25/S550 free flowed at temps below 42 degrees.......

But the waters in the PNW don't get below mid-forty's......

Unless the OP is planning to dive other really cold locations, then I would also recommend the Xsteam or SP MK17........
