I like both the G250HP and S600 second stages a bit more than the X650.

Also you can definently search specifically for regs that breathe in all directions, alot of octos are offered this way
Well...the D400 IS a Ferrari, while the X650 is one of those kit cars with cool looking fiberglass that you put on a really cheap car chassis.hamsiss:DA,

Actually it's probably more accurate to compare the X650 to a PT Crusier - a unique look on what is still a very unexciting Dodge Neon.
(My aplogies to any PT Cruiser owners.)

When I took the SP Regulator Tech class, they mentioned that the EN250 standards of WOB are what killed the D400. Something about the exhalation portion requiring too much effort and that the X650 had better numbers during this phase. Any thoughts?
Do you feel that these WOB numbers are used alot like megapixels are for advertising digital cameras, where more isn't always better?
I need to try a D400. I have an X650 that I tend to prefer to my S600s, because of that smooth air delivery you get when you remove the "bank shot". But all your posts about the D400 have piqued my curiosity.

I dont know how to start a thread but I think it would be entertaining to know what kind of car a reg would be. I wonder what a Conshelf XIV, SP D350, SP S600 Apex 200, Dacor Vista and others would be?DA Aquamaster:

Apex 200- based on some recent things I have read about them having problems with IP creep and the second stages not functioning as an OPV I might be tempted to call it a Ford Pinto masquerading as a Ferrari, although I think some people would be offended by that.
