Don't care for Comfo-bite or variants, myself.
Big ridge on the Scubapro hurts my upper gums after a few days.
Had best personal luck with the Atomic ($$) or any of the inexpensive knockoffs, as long as the knockoff's big hole doesn't change your reg's Venturi response. Both are soft and may tear over time at the mouthtube corner if your reg is heavy, from hanging before giant stride. But very comfy.

If it's not Apeks-Aqualung its not Comfobite

Mine hang, from the back of the teeth, jaw unclenched, sealing lightly against the lips

Unless I'm fighting tigers, where I apply a few thousand psis to the nubs until finished

Which is the way a few of you have described biting the mouthpiece leading to issues
+1: Exactly, with Apeks comfobites the reg just hangs with zero effort. Brilliant design...

I like the comfobite mouthpieces for second stages and the scubapro mouthpiece for a BOV. The pronounced ridge on the scubapro mouthpiece helps keep water out of the loop with the bov.

Atomic is OK. Prefer comfobyte. Whoever dreamed up that gum/mouth abrading torture device that ScubaPro installs as defaut should be limited to using poodle jackets and split fins for the rest of their diving career.

I would pay more if SP offered the 260 with NO mouthpiece.

Love my SeaCure. But if I go GUE/TDI long hose primary donate, I need to give it up.
Why? If you have to donate, do they really care about the comfortable mouthpiece and think, "My, how courteous of him to give such a comfy mouthpiece for this three-minute ascent!"? Or do they suck it up, happy with three minutes of air so they don't drown or get bent from a hasty CESA up from 95 ft??

Why don't they just use their own alternate air source anyway? I mean, the pony is slung RIGHT THERE in front of them.

G260 With the Apeks mouthpiece on my primary, fits my ugly gob.
