Reel Question

I need a new primary reel. Has anyone tried the side-handled reel by DiveRite? And if so, what do you think? Is it worth the extra money?

I've been using their standard Primary with the handle configured very similar to the side handle. I like the way it works, but it does have the extra metal bend hanging down behind the spool. Is it worth the $60? Depends if that gets you tangled up.

It's basically a duplicate of the Halcyon Pathfinder reel.. do a search on that to find user opinions.

I have one. I haven't used it in the water yet but it is a very solid piece of gear.

Thanks for the info and links. I think I'll try the Halcyon out this time. I had no problem with my standard DiveRite reel except for the fact that it's now lost (how can you lose your reel?). Maybe I can keep up with this one.
