WOW! That's a ten hour drive from my piece of Florida. I would love to meet and dive with you all. Maybe next time..........

No worries, mate! I'm looking to organize a class in each of the major regions of the state. Why? Because this state has enough diversity between coasts and NE, SE, SW, Central, and Panhandle to kind of warrant an overview type of class like this in each area that would help familiarize locals and non-locals with things they may have not even noticed before. For instance, Panama City's jetties have different critters living around them than the little reef off Venice Beach which has different fishes than whats on the reef off of LBTS, etc., as well as some that are similar.

My theory on this is simple - you live 10 hours from LTBS, and I don't think its fair to exlcude you from being able to attend a course like this that is mutually beneficial for both REEF and the Diver. For myself and others, this is a great excuse to dive all around the state. :)

Now what are you delagating to me?

You tell me what you can do and we're there. I've got things this far, what more can we do to make this a super gathering? BTW, where are all the names that were interested before?

Just put my name on the calendar. Now I need to contact Rose (?) and pay for my spot. Looking forward to the class.

Joe

Ok I am signed up. Scuba Jen I will hopefully see you before this but I will bring your bag that your missing it was packed in with my gear. You can blame Colin for this as he packed our gear after cleaning it out hahaha...

Hi,

I love the idea of the Reef class. I have a few questions also, how can I pay for this trip? Can I do it over the internet or do I need to send in a check? Please count me in, I am looking forward to doing this. My wife is a non-diver, is there going to be any non-divers on the trip? Please respond asap. Peace, Karim1

Hi Karim
The payment info is in the first post. As far as bringing non-divers, aka bubble watchers, bring them along! I don't know at this point if they will be able to sit in on the class or go on the boat, but there is plenty of beach to hang out on and other topside activities nearby.
Seeing this is happening over 2 days, I am sure there will be a SB party of some sort, and everbody is welcome to join the fun. There are many many folks here who bring the whole gang to SB parties. Making SCUBA family time is in the long run better for us divers! LOL

I talked to 5 friends who are very interested.
Any news to fill in the details on the itinerary yet?

_ what time/where will the AM shore dive be?
_ what time/where will the afternoon class be?
_ is there a "class" group rate being arranged where we can all stay?
_ is someone leading a nite dive (when/where)?
_ is someone arranging "class" (30-60+ tanks) refills?
_ can we pay online or via phone w/ credit card?

"..the devil's in the details.."

forth coming. If you look at the first post and/or the calendar posting you'll see thats stuff I'm still getting ironed out.
