do you know what the base unit weighs...
It weighs 9 lbs/14.1 kg dry including the weight pouches, various clips, rings, retractors, knife & sheath, shears & sheath, snorkel, mirror, whistle & accessory pocket. Sorry I'm not going to remove all that stuff to get an exact number but you can get an idea

A shoelace which can cause nerve or tissue damage. Plus you have to flaff around untying it from your camera setup when time is crucial.
In conme china the so called medical professional probably do not realize the implication of using inappropriate material in emergency.
