This is the kind of drama that drove me to create a Scubaboard account

Worth the price of admission :)

You do seem to have an answer for everything.
No offense, but it took you 17 pages to figure this out??? After legions of posts offering sage advice, detailed instructional videos and helpful alternatives the ONLY modification made to the spectacular BCD extravaganza was swapping out white zip ties with black ones! Outstanding!

On the flip side the OP has been flamed, berated, ridiculed, laughed at and vilified. DO IT MY WAY OR SUFFER THE CONSEQUENCES YOU JACKASS! Hahaha! 😀

I am kinda slow. This whole thing is a troll?
It is a stroke of luck that I figured it out at all.

Holy moly. Listen up everyone whatever you think of stuff be polite and respectful. This post has turned out to be as disgraceful as Facebook. The OP genuinely sought advice and he's been slayed with spite rather than experienced and helpful knowledge . Many of you are long time users of this site. How would you talk to your students? Oh yeah! Make it nice. And safe. And helpful.

It is the most entertaining thread in a while.
Agreed, I posted some time ago "I am out of here ", but keep returning, like you, for the entertainment. It's addictive.

Like watching Australian cricket. (Says the SA fan).

In all fairness I wasn't looking for advice when I said feel free to critique my gear configuration. I was just looking to share thoughts and ideas with what I thought would lead to an interesting discussion.

As a result of some very constructive feedback in between the insults and mockery, I will be replacing the white zip ties with black ones, removing a snap clip from my smb and putting the earplugs in my tool box. I don't use them anymore, I've found regular use of Q-tips to remove water, was and the occasional bug from my ear canals did wonders for that annoying itching. Now if I can only find a solution for itching in another area I'd be good to go. And I wouldn't get so many strange looks on the dive boat. That might be a good topic to start another thread.

I can't wait to get back in the water and test out this new configuration!

That's true. But on any forum you leave yourself open to comments from others. Sometimes I get ribbed for my setup, for not having a DSMB and reel that people can see. But they also cannot see my dive knife nor my reef hook or satellite beacon which also reside in my BCD pockets. I often get asked don't I get cold on dives with no wetsuit or hood. The only thing that dangles at times is my camera. My secondary octopus line is longer than standard and it is not clipped to my BCD. It slides into an open pocket on my BCD. XXL Scuba Pro Black. Massive lift capacity. Also prefer it to BPW setup.

I might ask where you keep your torniquet in case you need one for an emergency?

The Korean lass in black is an instabuddy I did 9 dives with over three days. Vacation diving means being teamed up with divers from very experienced tec instructors to not so experienced OW divers.

My kit is setup for how I like as yours is for you. I would not be overly concerned if others don't like your kit setup. I go diving for my pleasure. lol

Where do you keep your torniquet?

I keep my reef hook and rope line in my bcd pocket. This is also a torniquet. The other line I can use as a torniquet is the sports shoe lace I use instead of a lanyard for my camera platform.
