The primary reason I carry the stony bottle is not because I'm converned about an OOA situation. I carry it and use it on every dive even if I never take a single breath from it which is most dives. Because I've got a full 19cf or 30cf cylinder, I draw my main tank lower than "normal", thus extending almost every dive. If the dive is particularly interesting, I will draw my main tank to around 700 psi (varies depending on depth) switch to the stony bottle, breathe it down to say around 1000 psi then switch back to the primary to ascend, and typically be on the boat with less than 200 psi.
So you're using the pony to 700psi and the main tank down to 200psi. So something like 15cf left - not a big gas margin.

Redundant cutting tools and 5 retractors and all that crap (or lack thereof) is really not the riskiest thing here.

You're not wrong, however given the clear visibility I made the choice not to and found myself in an unexpected situation as result. Sometimes gear can help compensate for bad decisions.

We add them to our learning experiences and hopefully apply that lesson to all dives. There is nothing that should be unexpected when diving. We learn from our mistakes.

14 pages says you're not [open to suggestions]

I've read every single post (and replied to most), and for the reasons given when I do reply, I have not found most of them to be beneficial other than swapping out white zip ties for black ones, removing the case with ear plugs, removing a snap clip from the smb, and oil my shears. And maybe adding a thigh pocket (I'd get those shorts with the pockets rather than glue them on) and put my smb and reel in there.

-The snap clips for my camera are much easier to use with my big gloved fingers, despite the (very low) possibility of them snagging on something and I'm not changing them
-I prefer the stony reg necklace to a bungeed one
-I carry 3 computers, two in active use for both tanks and the backup, and I will not remove it to save bulk
-Each retractors serves a useful purpose as per my other thread
-I carry two cutting tools and redundant signaling gear as recommended in the Solo Diver course and will continue to do so
-I will continue to clip my camera to my chest BCD rings with the extra metal to metal connections when not in use and use the 3rd clip when I want to stow it, to keep my rig streamlined and avoid bumping the camera on a wreck or the bottom

I think that covers it.

The vast majority of feedback has been offered with insults, a mocking tone and no explanation for why it's better, just "you carry too much ѕhit and you're gonna die". Everything is neatly stowed and easy to access. The only gear that is clipped & hanging is smb & reel which don't even hang below my waist, as they're clipped to a D ring in front of the weight pouch. The torch is tucked behind the pocket.

Just because one diver thinks their way is better and tells another diver they're doing it wrong doesn't mean that diver is required to follow the offered advice, especially if the current configuration has been working for over 4 decades and 745 dives in diving conditions that include almost zero visibility inside of dirty wrecks.

And finally I never ASKED for advice I simply posted "let's share good and bad ideas and feel free to critique mine". In no way did I say nor imply that I was going to change anything about my rig as it is currently configured.

That's true. But on any forum you leave yourself open to comments from others. Sometimes I get ribbed for my setup, for not having a DSMB and reel that people can see. But they also cannot see my dive knife nor my reef hook or satellite beacon which also reside in my BCD pockets. I often get asked don't I get cold on dives with no wetsuit or hood. The only thing that dangles at times is my camera. My secondary octopus line is longer than standard and it is not clipped to my BCD. It slides into an open pocket on my BCD. XXL Scuba Pro Black. Massive lift capacity. Also prefer it to BPW setup.

I might ask where you keep your torniquet in case you need one for an emergency?

The Korean lass in black is an instabuddy I did 9 dives with over three days. Vacation diving means being teamed up with divers from very experienced tec instructors to not so experienced OW divers.

My kit is setup for how I like as yours is for you. I would not be overly concerned if others don't like your kit setup. I go diving for my pleasure. lol

All the time in California ... there's a phenomenon known as lobster fever.

Entanglement can happen in many different environments, different situations. If we could forsee all the pitfalls they would have to take the word accident out of the dictionary.
😀

It's poor judgment to do something the wrong way when you know there's a better way. Worse yet to post pictures online and proclaim it to be the best way.
I don’t believe the OP mentioned lobsters or that his way was the best way, He did say photography was a hobby. And he did say he would change a part of his rig when given a legitimate reason for doing it. Maybe it’s your way you’d like to see the OP conduct his pastime not his way.

I have no issue with comments from others although some of the insults and mockery are unnecessary. I'm speaking primarily to those who are having a tantrum because I don't immediately pull stuff off my rig just because they said I'm scared and stupid for doing it my way.

I don't even know what that is, and an internet search was no help whatsoever.
