Im talking about off the shelf cost, not full MSRP. Example would be the Atomic B2 is listed for $700 but my local dive shop can sell it for $500. Also, Im considering DIN but I dont have my heart set on it. Im looking to buy my own reg in December, Im borrowing a cheap one right now. Oh and Id like something that can do nitrox, cause Id like to get certified in that early next year. Thanks in advance

Are you just talking about the price of one 1st stage and one 2nd stage? (That's how regs are normally sold in dive shops.)
Or does your price range also include the cost of an octopus/backup reg?

I don't know of any modern regs that can't be used out-of-the-box with up to 40% nitrox.

If you don't own your own DIN tanks, it probably doesn't make much sense to have your regs DIN-configured. Most rental tanks have yoke tank valves.

Hog gets my vote, looks good in black.:D

But I'm not yet convinced about the red accents

nor do I have the inability of understanding the difficulty in obtaining
68.573% nitrox regs

I HVE NEVER REGRETTED BUYING MY SCUBAPRO MK 25'S. I HAVE 3 OF THEM. I bouht them because from researching them they had the best lconsistant delivery of air at depths up to 200. Most others started falling off at 120-140. The s600 of the ones i have are the snmoothest breathing i have ever done. i have a s650 but is is not as good as the s600. I am sure there is some tweeking that can be done on the 650 but that is my experience. i have the finned first stages on all my mk25s. BTW new i spent 450 my used ones about 150. The rebuild kits are a bit expensive but teh reg is worth it.
