That is not correct. Bluetooth currently allows you to download data to Diving Logic v6.0. I have been doing dive data directly for some time. All that you need the cable for is charging and updates via their toolbox. I hope this helps.

In another thread ( Ratio Dive Computers Announces New iX3M 2!! Our Best Dive Computer yet! ) it was discusses that bluetooth actually works even with subsurface mobile for android.

For the time being, if ix3m 2 is not listed in subsurface's device drop down list (it won't unless you manage to run the latest beta version which doesn't work for most devices) one needs to select an older version of Ratio. BT connection then works just fine.
