I see they've dropped the Standard plan with its very limited coverage for Canadians. That US Standard plan covers only Decompression Illness you know, no other dive accidents - as well as to smaller limits.
 
Preferred plan holder here, who also commends that plan. Never hesitate to call DAN with questions on coverage or medical treatment. They are a very responsive resource.

Yes, I had the basic plan, but as others have said, for $10 more, the benefits are pretty tough to beat. I upped to preferred this year as I had a dive trip to the Dominican and I'm going to Coco View next month.

I used to have the middle plan, thinking that I would upgrade it to Preferred if I went on a dive trip .. that is I did until a good friend pointed out that you could get hurt diving in your own back yard too .. like she did .. she is very grateful that she had the Preferred plan, many thousands of dollars grateful
