Question for the she-p users...

If I'm doing multiple days of diving, I just deal with the sticky.

If your disconnect was either at the she-P/norprene tubing interface or the interface with the QD, a ziptie will solve that problem. I have zipties on both ends of my QD, and haven't had a disconnect in ages.

If only..sigh. Day 2, the Ear x 2, I peed, the she-p did not

No pad, blow out. 1 tube got disconnected, 2 did not seal in the front completly. ?..shaking my head.
This morning I was still sticky and I got it on slightly askew. Mistake was not taking the time to remove & reposition the copius amounts of glue.
Tomorrow, day 3, still hopeful but back to backup.

So how DO you get all the glue off of your skin? Still annoying stickiness after baby oil, lots of soap and water, even a bit of rubbing alcohol (not so much fun).

Oh Elena... I've had several dives in a row now with no leakage, but I think it will have to be two dozen before I skip the backup!!! LOL

I SOAK ripped up paper towels with baby oil, wipe/scrub, repeat process until removed. Don't know why paper towels work but they seem to for me.

So how DO you get all the glue off of your skin? Still annoying stickiness after baby oil, lots of soap and water, even a bit of rubbing alcohol (not so much fun).

I remove She-P in shower using the adhesive remover pad on my skin and rinsing immediately otherwise it will sting. I use one adhesive remover pad on me, one on the device. Wash myself with soap and water. Apply baby oil on my skin, wipe off excess baby oil and get dress. Not sticky because of baby oil. For multiple dive days, I wash myself with soap and water to get baby oil I applied the previous night off my skin before applying the device.

Elena, you are brave to go without a Poise pad. Been using She-P a little over a year with only four incidences of leakage yet I am not brave enough to go Poise-less. It's like a security blanket for me.

I've become almost superstitiously convinced that the She-P KNOWS if I have put on a pad or not. If I have, it won't leak. If not . . . all bets are off.

I remember that JAX posted once on some forum that she uses Goo Gone to remove the glue.

I'm gonna try that.

I am just starting down the She-P road. This weekend I am staying home, and will be doing a dry run with the She-P, while I clean the apartment. Next weekend I leave for England, where I will be picking up my first drysuit, and doing a couple of days of training at Vobster. It will be my first real try. I am ready with a big package of Depends.

I tried Goo Gone this week, and I wasn't impressed. I don't think it's as good as the Remove solvent, but on the other hand, it's more available and somewhat cheaper.
