The Pro Plus 3 is VERY similar to the Pro Plus 2 that many have. The manuals are fairly well laid out, and it really doesn't take much to learn the button logic.
A big advantage of these units over some others, particularly newer colored units is the batteries. They last forever. Yes you do need to open it up to change it, but I am still on my first battery with over 200 dives. No recharging, no change outs so far. Others may have different experiences.

You can also take the PP3 underwater (virtually) with the eDiving Scuba Diving Simulator. (warning: training required!)
