I have the Oceanic Pro Plus 3, I was attempting to download my dives to DiverLog, I downloaded the program from their website, paid the 19.99 for the program, downloaded the USB drivers, but it wont interface at all with my desktop, I"m running windows 11, I reached out to Pelagic the company that sponsors the software but all they do Is send me a link for drivers to their 2010 USB drivers! Anyone have a suggestion? The Drivers dont work.

Can you download the dives using the Oceanic software? If so, then you know the problem is not with the dive computer and/or data cable. The drivers from Oceanic might also work for the other software.

no , wont accept Pro Plus 3

In that case it could be the transfer cable, the dive computer, or your PC. Might talk to Oceanic and/or your local dive shop. I have a datapro 3 and no issue with transfers.

Did you figure it out? We are having the same issue. Can’t get past the handshake step without timing out. I love Oceanic computers but this is frustrating.

Not sure if this helps. I have both a ProPlus 2 and ProPlus 3 computer and download dives to Oceanlog 2.x running on a desktop PC.

I needed Oceanlog installed on a laptop in preparation for an extended dive trip which would have exceeded the memory capacity of these ProPlus units; therefore, needing a way to download dives while travelling.

I used the Oceanlog 2.x installation file which I had on the desktop. Transferred it to the laptop and ran it. I looks to me to be still the same file that is available direct from the Oceanic website. This software does not appear to have been have upgraded beyond version 2.4.9

The installation went smoothly and I could open all my previous logged dives as well as backups. However, as soon as I tried to connect up the USB cables to test a data transfer, I realised that the USB drivers for these USB connectors had not been loaded (the same driver is used for the different cables used by ProPlus 2 and 3).

I clicked on 'Install USB driver' from the top menu and that installation failed with an error message from Windows Security saying that the USB driver was blocked from installation because it violated a "memory integrity" setting in Windows Security. This is obviously a more recent Windows Security setting than was present on my Desktop, but now installed and active on my newer laptop.

Luckily, it is possible to turn off the "memory integrity" setting in Windows Security. I did that and then the USB driver provided with Oceanlog 2.x version 2.4.9 installed smoothly. The cables and test downloads from both ProPlus units, using their respective connecting cables, worked.

Once installed, this USB driver for the connecting cables prevents Windows Security from switching back on the "memory integrity" setting again. It says you need to install a compatible updated driver by trying Windows Updates or by receiving an updated driver from the manufacturer. I have been unsuccessful here.

This situation will be fine for me for this travelling trip, as I can get around not having this setting turned on temporarily. I will update on the situation here if I learn more.

In summary, it is possible that the problems reported on this thread are being caused by the USB connector driver conflicting with a new Windows Security setting. Everything else appears to work fine. Hope that helps.

I'm having the same problem. The DiveLog software loaded on my new Alienware computer (I paid for the full version) but never worked in downloading dives from my PDC. The interface cable works because my computer beeps when I plug it into the USB port, yet it says "Interface Cable Not Found" or something to that effect; and the Pro Plus 3 flips into download mode and starts the countdown, but won't connect with my PDC. I also got the message about disconnecting the core integrity setting, did this and still didn't work. Had to call the Dell reps to get the memory integrity turned back on. I was told to update my drivers, which I did , but still nothing.

I went back to Oceanlog software on my old Lenovo. This still lets me download dives so it's what I'm using until they come up with an upgrade, patch, or something to fix the driver issue.

Thanks for this additional posting. I think it all helps to understand the conflicts and possible ways to overcome them.

For me, disabling the ‘memory integrity’ option worked, but to re-enable it requires the offending driver to be removed first.

I have identified the driver file which Oceanic use as: ftdibus.sys 2002 design by FTDI Ltd. Will have to see if they are willing or able to update their product.

In the meantime, I have decided to keep my system running with ‘memory integrity’ disabled as for my own personal usage of this device, I feel I can take the risk.

Can I check if after you disabled the ‘memory integrity’ option in Windows security (and then restarting the computer as well), that you ran the Oceanic installation software again as a fresh install?
