My Novas were too soft if you push them, so I put plastic shims in all the slots and wrapped them with electrical tape. They are lot faster than my Jets now after that simple mod. A lot more thrust!

Freedive fins ..like the Cressi Gara modular will frog kick better than scubapro jet fins...they are a much larger platform to push from.
They also helicopter easily, and beyond flutter kick, they make the dolphin kick a very enjoyable kick to use, by far more efficient than flutter.
Reverse kick works with these Gara modulars, but it is harder to learn on these fins than on jets, and it is not going to be the right fin for backing up 50 to 100 feet at a time. For just positioning backwards a bit, or staying where you want on a deco hang, they are fine.
