An advertiser whined.
The supplication to that individual wasn't AFAIK influenced by their sponsorship.
Sponsorship doesn't buy moderators.

Well.... I don't know the details, as I said, but even advertisers don't whine without cause so I'm sure there's two sides to this story. An advertiser whined.

If you want to request a review of the situation then just use the report button on any post and ask someone to reconsider it. Maybe putting you and the advertiser on mutual-ignore is an option worth exploring.
If you don't want to discuss it on the forums, you can PM me.

Advertisers forcing a SB policy.
I can understand that this is how you interpret what happened but the way you're saying it does seem to exonerate you from any responsibility for your part in whatever it was that got you banned from those forums.
But sanctions are not generally given arbitrarily to the innocent so I'm missing a piece of that puzzle. There must have been a reason. Were you yanking the chain of someone who also happened to be an advertiser? Maybe you took it too far and they reported it. It could be that the squeeky wheel simply got the grease.
Either way there's always two sides to every conflict.
