who is doin the charters?
daybraker?
i dont think im fimilar with them?
i havent done the mars yet, i dont even have any good numbers for it actually...

Yeah - the Daybreaker is the charter, it's further out than the Pinthis, I think, which is why they only do it on the afternoon dives. All I know is tugboat at 120 ft...nothing about currents or vis or what's cool to seek out on the wreck, etc...

daybrakers the wreck or the charter boat..???
where are the outa?

Daybreaker is the charter - Fran Marcoux is the captain.

They usually go out of Cape Ann, but he does a couple of special charters a year - this one we leave out of Scituate.

Oh, man, this looks like exactly the dive I am looking for...first one of the season - who is this through? Do you know if there is still room to sign up? Let me know who to call so I can get aboard, if possible! Would love it!

Just read its through PG Dive - think I will sign up...on my own - hope I can find a buddy? Thanks! Can't wait to meet some of you! On the 8AM charter!

Well, guys, we just switched to the afternoon charter to make room for some tech guys on the am one - we'll be doing the Mars and Pinthis now instead of Pinthis x 2- see you at the dock!

Anyone have any tips on the Mars?

Cool, see you at the dock then.

You'll have to tell us what you think of the Mars. I have hardly heard anything about that wreck.

Good luck! Hope to see you out there. :D

Rafael:
Can you guys give me some info about this wreck?

Rafael,

For an idea of the typical vis on the Pinthis you can take a look at the video clip that is on my site. The link is in the column on the left. That dive is never a dissapointment.

Have fun,
Capt. Dennis

Check out the bow which was sheared off in a collision with the tanker Bidwell (sp?). there was a rumor that she had been sunk due to a collision with a submarine but that has been disproven through an investigation of the damage to the Bidwell. Also, the srew and the rudder can be an impresive sight if the visibility cooperates. Typically, the vis is not as good as on the Pinthis but the Mars is always an interesting dive. Just one word of caution; be aware of the possibility of drift/gill nets on or around the Mars. Last year there was a substantial size piece enveloping the bow. Try to stay off the bottom, it is a fine silty mud that easily forms clouds if disturbed.

You'll have a great dive, have fun!

Capt. Dennis
