RIOceanographer:..... The vis wasn't bad but not the legendary Pinthis conditions people often report. Probably around 15 ft.
Sorry about the less than ideal vis. With all the talk about great vis I hope you all were not too dissapointed. We were out there also Saturday, we were the boat hooked to the wreck when the Daybreaker arrived on Saturday morning. I think the reduced vis was due to all the rain in the last couple of weeks. Even with the "crappy" vis - for the Pinthis - it was still a good day of diving. So, I guess no one made it out to the Mars? I would have been curious to know how the conditions were there.
I posted a photo of Fran's boat from Saturday morning on my site under "Daybreaker" on the "Dive Charters" page. Had to clear away all the fog in photo shop!
