Selecting the right person(s) to model our goods, is a long and tedious process that I don't want to rush....:D
I vote for the young lady wearing the DSS rig in the IANTD Rec Trimix manual ... :browsmile

I can't believe how immature some of you guys are....

{whisper Tobin}

Hey man, hook me up before any of these guys catch on...

These are so bad it'll motivate Tobin to put up more pretty pics on the site ;)

But hopefully it'll give you an idea. The rig looks much better in person than in my pics.

h guy, I dont want to type out your name too many beers right now so it would just look like drunk typing to me anyways. thank you for the pictures, is that the pro-fit harness or the hogarthian harness? could anyone else provide pictures of it in use perhaps?

Humuhumunukunukuapua'a:
That's the Pro-Fit on mine.

And you can call me Gregg for short ;)

Gregg how do you like the pro-fit harness and did you ever test out the same bp/w with the hogarthian harness?

Hey Gregg, I PM'd jagfish but he hasn't gotten back to me yet. Is he a regular member?? Anyways, thanks for the pics. :D

Never tried it with the Hog harness and this is my first BP/W experience. I have owned it about a week and only have a few dives on it.

That said, I like the Pro-Fit harness. With all the exposure protection we wear here, the easier it is to get in and out of a rig the better. I used the shoulder clips on my old BC all the time, so I figured I'd want those.

I LOVE the hardware on the PF harness. The bent D-rings are super easy to clip things to. Very ingenious, those rings.

The webbing is very soft, and does tend to twist around a bit...much more than standard webbing, when you're getting in and out of it. But I've never met a rig that was exactly easy to get out of when you're wearing a ton of exposure protection and weight.

It's all very easy to adjust of course, and getting out of the rig is very easy with the clips.

My thinking was, get the DSS package and enjoy the price break you get by getting it all together, including the PF harness. I can always rig up a Hog harness later if I come to the conclusion that it would be better, and I can do that very inexpensively. For now, I love the features of the PF harness. It's far less cluttered than anything I have ever dove, and the hardware is bulletproof and well-designed.

To say nothing of the rest of the rig...I really think I'm in love...it was like a whole new type of diving experience...religious, almost :D

Cheers! :D

so were you able to test one out before buying? No authorized dealers near me and I know of no one that owns one.

I own the DSS with pro-fit harness as well and agree that the hardware is the cats backside, I also found the harness webbing a bit soft. I am replacing my soft harness with regular harness material and retaining the hardware from this setup. I too wear alot of exposure protection and am very thick in the shoulders so I will be maintaining at least one of the quick disconnects. I will have to have the harness sewn locally, but Tobin gave me some advise on thread type for this. I was not able to try this rig before I ordered it, but after receiving it I do not regret my purchase. I will be buying another singles rig from Tobin after the first of the year to replace my son's Seaquest Balance.
