I've met some wonderful friends on this board and I am in the process of planning some trips with them. Its great to be able to meet people you wouldn't normally ever know because of the location differences.

Met and dove with lots and lots of new friends, even ran into someone I went to paramedic school long ago, here. Always looking to meet new people and show them around. In my travels, I hope someone will return the favor sometime.

I did not meet my wife here, but others have definately *hooked up*. Not sure I'd look to SB for that type of thing, but I has happened.
I have not made any lifelong friendships....yet! But I do have those that I consider friends, and some of those friendships will likely grow stronger. In fact this weekend I spent the entire time with someone who started out a stranger (DiveDoggie) and after a weekend of travel and diving we will definately keep in touch as we have a lot on common beyond diving.
