People you meet on SB

I am relatively new to this board and I am just curious...has anyone become really good friends with another SB'er or maybe even met their significant other on this board?

Yes, I have many dear friends I've met here. I believe there have also been a few SO hookups here as well.

definitely!! there are two couples who met here living together in just the little nc group, so i'm sure there are many many others. i love my sb & ncd friends. in fact, i'm a pretty new diver, just since jan, but have lots of dives for someone so new - somewhere around 60 - and only one has been with a buddy i *didn't* meet online. they are great mentors and wonderful friends.

I have met a lot of SB divers and have made several great friendships. I also met my husband thru a Scuba forum...Back then there was no ScubaBoard

I got to meet Lisa, Jim aka "Gilligan", Don Burke, Dr. Steve, Skipp, and many more people from the board. Some I knew before the board was started, but many were because of the board. I am sure I will meet many more friends from this board.

I've made some good friends online, as well as had the chance to at least meet some people. Met Babyduck & SuprBugMan recently at Morrison Spring, for example. Very briefly, they were wrapping up about when we got there, so maybe some future time we'll be able to visit a bit longer.

I've made a lot of friends through this board, I have some that I talk to on the phone and dive with regularly. It's a great place to meet new friends and find dive buddies.

i've met a lot of great guys on the board... we even became good friends before we even met up for the 1st time! the jokes, banter, inanities going around our little neck of the woods (PPD subforum) is just amazing!

it's a great board with a lot of great people...
