I'm heading to Maui in september... I've heard that I need my passport thanks to new security measures.

Do I? My old one expired...

I'm coming from the continental US.

As far as I know US citizens traveling to Hawaii do not need a passport, but I always travel with mine, it's the best form of ID everywhere.

But, Hawaii is in the US. Why would you need a passport going there? It's a domestic flight....

What's the exchange rate?

:) Hawaii doesn't require it, maybe an airline does but I have my doubts.

That's news to me....I'll see what I can find out

might want to get your shots before you come too... and don't drink the water

I just got back from Maui, and boy do they hate Americans over there. And the exchange rate was just horrible, the average dinner for two was nearly $80 USD. My next vacation is going to keep me in the USA. :D

If they only got McDonalds I could afford a return visit.
